Timex Adventure Tech Digital Compass Watch
- A magnetometer is a scientific instrument used to measure the strength and/or direction of the magnetic field in the vicinity of the instrument.
- A compass is a navigational instrument for determining direction relative to the Earth's magnetic poles. It consists of a magnetized pointer (usually marked on the North end) free to align itself with Earth's magnetic field.

- timex is a Unix utility tool, most commonly used in the measurement of duration of shell processes. It is also used to measure process data and system activity. The tool appears in IBM's AIX version of Unix and the Solaris Operating System from Sun Microsystems.

- Tech is the name of the fawn and white lineage of English bulldogs, which serves as the live mascot of Louisiana Tech University. Tech is owned by the LA Tech Student Government Association and resides with either a faculty member or local alumnus selected by the SGA.
- The Tech (Catalan: Tec) is a river in southern France, very close to the French-Spanish border. It runs through a valley in the Pyrenees-Orientales, in the former Roussillon, and is 84 km long. Its source is the Parcigoule Valley (2,500 meters high) and it feeds the Mediterranean Sea.
DeVry digital compass
At the open house at DeVry University they gave all the future students a digital compass that was made by past students taking the electronics engineering technology program. It's pretty accurate and even has its own case, really cool! I took a macro of it showing N.E. for my initials.
Arduino GPS + Digital compass
A prototype that I build designing a product for Urban tourists. It combines a location based notification (using GPS) with a digital compass for indicating direction.
